If you have to cancel your trip, you may lose most or all of your travel investment, based on the supplier’s cancellation policy. Once you depart, lost, stolen or damaged luggage, travel delays or medical emergencies can put a damper on your experience.
Did you know? Purchasing your trip with your credit card may provide valuable financial protection and medical emergency coverage. Benefits are specific to each individual cardholder account. Always check with your credit card issuer for benefits and conditions of protection coverage before making your purchase and to help with your decision to purchase trip insurance.

TRAVEL INSURANCE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Emergencies can happen when you least expect them. MONROE TRAVEL CONNECT highly recommends that all clients purchase a travel insurance policy to protect their investment in their travel. Cruise lines, airlines, hotels, and tour operators all charge high penalties for cancellation, ranging from the full deposit to no refund at all. And, keep in mind that most health insurance policies will not cover you when you are out of the country. Travel insurance can protect you in the event of Trip Cancellation, Trip Delay, Trip Interruption, Missed Connection, Baggage Loss, Theft or Damage, Baggage Delay, Emergency Medical and Dental Expenses, and Emergency Medical Transportation, among other unforeseen circumstances.
Please also note that in order for you to obtain coverage for certain insurer-defined benefits, which may include but not limited to waiver for pre-existing conditions and/or supplier default, your policy must be purchased at the time of booking or shortly thereafter as defined by the the terms of the policy.
